The new school year has begun, and along with the bustle of new books, sharpened pencils, and smiling faces, we’re delighted to welcome back one very special member of our school community Kai, our much loved therapy dog!
There were cheers (and plenty of smiles) at school Assembly on Friday as Mr. Flood introduced Kai’s return with a PowerPoint presentation. We learned a little more about Kai’s gentle nature, how best to approach him, and why we need to be mindful not to surprise him with sudden loud noises. It was a lovely reminder that Kai is here to make our days calmer and brighter and that by looking after him, he can look after us in return.
We also would like to give the warmest of welcomes to our new Junior Infants, who are just beginning their journey in our wonderful school community. We hope they’ll quickly feel at home, make lots of new friends, and of course, get to know Kai too!
All of the staff are looking forward to a fantastic year of learning and with Kai padding gently alongside us, this academic year promises to be extra exciting.
Here’s to making it a great one for everyone!🐶
